Lara Goes Java (18 August, 2003)

Tomb Raider: The Osiris Codex will be released in three parts, starting with 'The Osiris Codex' in the U.S. and Europe this autumn. It will be available through soon to be announced network operators and will feature heavily in their autumn marketing campaigns.

The game has been created as a side-scrolling platform game. Lara can perform all of her signature moves, such as running, jumping, crouching and climbing. As she progresses, Lara can pick up useful items and store them in her inventory for later use. She can also push and pull certain items within the game, to gain access to otherwise unreachable areas. Lara will of course, have her trademark pistols to hand for when the going gets tough.

Information on the game and network operators will be available from the game's website www.tombraidermobile.com. The following Java-enabled mobile phones with colour screens will be supported: Sharp GX10, GX20, Nokia 3650, 7650, 7210, 6200 and Motorola T720.

Eidos, video games publisher, and IOMO, mobile games studio, will release Tomb Raider: The Osiris Codex, a game for mobile phones, in the US and Europe in autumn 2003. The game is expected to feature heavily in network operators' marketing campaigns. It will be released in three parts, starting with Episode 1, The Osiris Codex. The game can be played on the latest generation of colour screen, Java handsets including the Nokia 3650, 6200, 7210 and 7650, the Motorola T720 and the Sharp GX10 and GX20.

Eidos and Vodafone Sign Lara Croft Tomb Raider Mobile Deal (24 September, 2003)

Eidos, one of the world's leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, and Vodafone, the world's largest mobile community today announce an exclusive agreement in 22 countries for mobile entertainment content based on the highly-successful Tomb Raider series.

Tomb Raider is one of the most popular computer and video game series of all time. Since Lara made her debut in 1996, the Tomb Raider series has sold more than 30 million units worldwide.

Under the terms of the agreement, Vodafone has the exclusive mobile content distribution rights for downloadable games and animated screensavers available to customers of the award-winning Vodafone live! service in up to 22 countries. The entertainment mobile content will consist of three Tomb Raider adventure platform games, as well as ringtones, screensavers and wallpapers. The games also include special codes which reveal tips and hints accessible from a specially-created customer website: www.tombraidermobile.com.

Fans of the world's most famous cyber-babe will be keen to know that each of the three mobile games (episodes) has an individual storyline, with a global storyline encompassing all three episodes. Each episode will consist of 15 levels plus one training level to teach the user how to play the game. The difficulty level of each episode will start from an easy point and grow progressively harder. The first episode in the series is scheduled for launch in September and is entitled: "Tomb Raider: The Osiris Codex"

Lara Croft Takes Mobile World by Storm (21 October, 2003)

Eidos, one of the world's leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, announces that Tomb Raider is currently dominating the mobile games market. Tomb Raider: The Osiris Codex is the number one selling game on Vodafone live! in the UK and Tomb Raider topped the Nokia N-Gage charts in its first week of release.

Tomb Raider: The Osiris Codex is the first offering from the recently announced mobile content agreement signed with Vodafone, the world's largest mobile community. The game, which was released on 2nd October, is the first episode in a three part adventure. The second and third episodes Tomb Raider: Quest for Cinnabar and Tomb Raider: Elixir of Life will be available later this year.

Tomb Raider, a launch title for the N-Gage game deck, was released on 7th October in the UK. The game has featured prominently in Nokia's worldwide marketing campaign. As well as offering a great one player experience, Tomb Raider features multiplayer and online capabilities.
